6) John Wycliffe completed this task in 1384, the year he died.
7) 1611. King James I of England commissioned a group of 47 scholars to prepare a new translation of the Bible which became known as the King James Version. Because of its elegant style, KJV is still popular after 400 years although it is in old English.
