1. General meaning is "so be it", which means agreement with the speaker. This is
a Hebrew word signifying something as certain, sure, valid, truthful. Jesus
always said Amen at the beginning of His statements and not at the end.
In Rev 3:14 Jesus is called the Amen, meaning that He Himself is the reliable
and true witness of God. Isaiah 65:16 says God of Amen. Amen has remained
untranslated in Christian tradition.
2. It is a word of praise and it means, "Praise the Lord". It is seen frequently
in the Book of Psalms and often translated as, Allelouia (Greek), Halelluyah
(Hebrew), Alleluia-KJV translation. This word conveys a sense of the joyous
